Golden Isles Arts & Humanities is pleased to present the return of Peach State Opera with production of The Marriage of Figaro on Sunday, January 30  at 3 pm at the Historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick.

Mozart’s chaotic whirlwind of mistaken identities, twists and turns, is a comedy that takes place on a single crazy day – the wedding day of Figaro and Susanna. From the first notes of the famous overture through to the Count’s lesson in marital fidelity, Mozart’s musical invention conveys universal themes of love, marriage, jealousy and ultimately, the notion that love conquers all.

Peach State Opera, Georgia’s premier touring opera company was founded in 2009. The organization’s guiding principle is that all audiences deserve access to opera and that the opera world needs a place where emerging artists can express themselves. All their performances are condensed family-friendly versions and are performed in English.
