Julia Knowlton
Ring in National Poetry Month with Dr. Julia Caroline Knowlton. The Department Chair/Professor of French at Agnes Scott College, she’s the author of five books, a 2018 Georgia Author of the Year, Pushcart Prize nominee, and recipient of Academy of American Poets College Prize.
She has a BA (English, French) from Duke University, a MFA (poetry) from Antioch University-Los Angeles, and a MA and Ph.D. degrees (French Literature) from UNC-Chapel Hill. Additional studies were at the Sorbonne & Oxford (UK).
