Southern Style Holiday Ambrosia
Yield: 12 servings
Ingredients:
8 large apples, peeled cut into bite-size pieces
8 large bananas, cut into 1-inch circles
8 large navel oranges, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks
8 large tangerines, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks
2 c. canned pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. golden raisins
1½ c. Georgia pecans, chopped, toasted
1 c. maraschino cherries, cut in half
1 c. orange juice
Preparation:
Peel and prep all fruit in a large mixing bowl. Save all natural juices. Gently toss everything together. Add pineapple juice to taste for a sweeter ambrosia. Refrigerate. Gently toss again before serving.
