FOCUS
by Molly Hardin of Coastal Eye Care
Focus on (and better with) your eyes! Keeping your eyes healthy is so important and you don’t have to sacrifice style.
One thing everyone should do in the New Year is get their eyes checked. To maintain healthy eyes and ensure the best vision possible, everyone school-aged and older should have their eyes checked annually, if not every other year. Dr. Carlton Hicks at Coastal Eye Care performs comprehensive eye exam checks for glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, as well as many other health problems that may manifest in the eye.
Working at a computer all day? How about a year with less eye fatigue and strain? We recommend a separate pair of glasses just for when you sit at a desk and look at a screen all day. Crizal lenses cut out glare and lessen the strain and fatigue on your eyes. Wouldn’t fewer headaches in the new year be nice?!
If you haven’t updated your progressive lens to the latest Varillux Digital lens, you aren’t getting the most bang for your buck. Digital lenses give you the best vision and and wider corridor for distance, intermediate, and near. Make the change now and experience better vision in 2015!
You can also start off 2015 with a new (and younger) look! A new pair of glasses is a great way to change your look and your mood. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box! Eyeglasses are the hot new accessory! Be a little daring – choose trendy colors like shades of blue and green. Or why not hot pink?! Maybe spotted tortoise and classic tortoise with blue highlights. Having just one pair is like having one handbag or one pair of shoes. Add another pair of glasses to your wardrobe.
Of course a new pair of sunglasses for the new year are a must! Coastal Eye Care has the best selection of sunglasses from all the hottest designers. All are 100% UV protected and we suggest polarized lenses. It’s kind of like HD vision!
