Best place to pig out. It's official.
As we've crossed the U.S.A., so far we've collected pictures of 12 "Welcome to our State" signs.
But we've gotten a kick out of the various signs that seem to reflect what America is thinking, local humor, unusual history, wisdom, things that just struck us as odd ("Church for sale by owner"...like, God is into real estate now?), or simply signs you wouldn't see in GA ("Open Range").
So today's blog is a slideshow (click on slideshow tab) of a few of these signs, whether they be billboards, restaurant signs, or painted messages on covered wagons.
Of course, a thank you to Larry who has had to slow the car down or do a U-turn when I say "hey! That's a funny sign!" It seems I always decide this when we are passed the sign, not as we approach. But, so far, he's been patient.
