2015 Have a Heart for Manna House Dinner Dance

Lord of Life Lutheran church has been hosting the “Have a Heart for Manna House” dinner dance for almost a decade. The annual dinner dance and silent auction event is the largest fundraising effort on behalf of Manna House, the only daily soup kitchen in Glynn Country. Located in the heart of Brunswick on Martin Luther King Boulevard, Manna House provides over 150 free lunches for people in need each day, Sunday through Saturday. Approximately 25 area churches and other volunteer teams plan, prepare and serve these meals year round.

Needs have increased for feeing the economically disadvantaged and disenfranchised of our community. The funds raised through this year’s "Have a Heart for Manna House" dinner dance and silent auction will enable the Manna House Ministry to continue to grow to meet these needs. To date, Lord of Life Lutheran Church has raised more than $25,000 for the ministry through this event. They are pleased to share that Rich Products has joined King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort as a new sponsor this year.

Other exciting news is that the dinner dance celebration will take place in a new venue this year. The newly renovated King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort will be site of the festivities on Saturday, February 21, 2015. This new setting at the historic St. Simons Island resort with the breathtaking ocean backdrop is sure to enhance what is always an exceptional evening.

One of the highly anticipated aspects of the night is the silent auction of special packages, beautiful art by local artists, and other unique items, as well as other raffle prizes. The silent auction begins at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Dancing will begin at 8 p.m.. With the always fun and energetic Mason Waters and the Groove Allstars providing the entertainment, you’ll be singing “I wanna put on…my, my, my, my, my boogie shoes” right along with them as you head to the dance floor. Singles and couples are welcome. There is no shortage of willing dancing partners!

Tickets are $55 and include dinner and dancing. There will be a cash bar. Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased ahead of time. Host a table (table reservations available for a group of up to 10) or come on your own, you’ll be warmly welcomed either way.
