new Golden Isles Welcome Center at 529 Beachview Drive in Pier Village at a free reception. The show, titled " 31.1597°N, 81.3886°W - Vacation Art to Take Home," features 42 works by 28 outstanding local artists and photographers. The title cites the latitude and longitude of the St. Simons Lighthouse to illustrate its focus on local attractions and icons. The works are designed to appeal to residents and visitors alike, with subject matter spanning local vistas, our unique cypress and Live Oaks trees, the marshes, images of our beautiful sunrises and sunsets, sunbathers, wildlife, flora and fauna, our beaches and other aspects that make the Golden Isles so very attractive. All the works, featuring some of the Golden Isles' best-known artists and photographers, are "suitcase friendly," with a maximum size of 16" by 20," and are accessible to all, with a maximum price of $650. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition can be viewed 9:00am until 5:00pm, Monday through Saturday, and 12:00noon until 5:00pm on Sundays and will run through Friday, June 27.
