Coastal Symphony of Georgia February Concert

The Coastal Symphony of Georgia (CSG) celebrates the season of romance with a February concert of Love Stories. “With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, concert goers will hear a variety of rich, familiar music that will inspire them to make plans with their special someone for one of the most romantic days of the year,” says Sharon Flores, CSG President. The orchestra will begin with the story of two star-crossed lovers in Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, Overture-Fantasy. The story of love repressed, then helplessly and haplessly expressed and only fulfilled in death follows in Tristan und Isolde by Wagner. The orchestra will then present an elegant musical love letter, Salut d’Amour by Edward Elgar, before closing the evening with a comic story of love, Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier Suite.
