CoastFest returns to the GA DNR Coastal Regional Headquarters in Brunswick for its 19th year. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. Saturday, October 5th, environmental, educational, research and resource exhibitors from throughout the Southeast will join live entertainers in providing interactive exhibits, ‘make-it-take-it’ projects, and displays relating to the coastal environment for visitors of all ages. There are touch tanks with sea life, birds, turtles, snakes, lizards, alligators, tortoises, and a 5,000 gal. aquarium with saltwater fish. Visit US Coast Guard boats at the docks. Under the Show Tents, there will be magic, juggling, puppets, and perennial favorite Jim Sawgrass and his family present Native American customs and folklore. There’s a historic village with military re-enactors, historic games for kids and an archery field.
