Georgia Artists with DisAbilities Exhibit Opening Reception

Golden Isles Arts & Humanities is pleased to bring the popular, Georgia Artists with DisAbilities Exhibit, back to the Golden Isles as part of the 30th anniversary tour. Sponsored by the Pilots Club of Metro Atlanta, this annual touring exhibit features the work of dozens of artists from all over the state in a variety of media, including painting, photography, clay pottery, sculpture, mosaic, textile, and other fine art media. The exhibit will open with a community reception during First Friday festivities on June 5, 5-8 p.m. at the Historic Ritz Theatre in Downtown Brunswick.
Local artist Gene Threats’ work is once again featured in the exhibit with his drawing, "News for All the People (Chicago Defender)" winning a Best in Show award.
The exhibit will remain on display through June 27. Gallery hours are Wednesdays-Fridays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and during performances. Admission to all art exhibits at The Ritz Gallery is free.
