The Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival, presented by Southern Living will be held Sept. 19 to 21 in the Jekyll Island Historic District. Friday night is $3 Sample Night with Backbeat Boulevard providing music. Saturday and Sunday, the festival will host the amateur and professional chef competitions, and cooking demonstrations with guest chefs, including Southern Living Test Kitchen professional, Vanessa Rocchio. The Shane Bridges Band takes the stage country-style Saturday evening. Returning this year will be the intimate, “Songwriters in the Round” with Nashville-based artists Rob Crosby, James Dean Hicks, and Billy Montana. On Saturday and Sunday, there’s the Flippenout Extreme Trampoline Show. The Craft Brew Fest, presented by Southern Eagle Distributing will take place Friday through Sunday. From the Family Fun Zone, live music, and artisan market to the ongoing cook-offs, cooking demos and shrimp eating contests, the festival promises to dish up a good time for the whole family!
