The Southeast Georgia Health System 2015 Bridge Run takes place on Saturday, February 14 this year. Certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association as "the toughest 5K in Georgia," participants start on the southbound side of the bridge, go over, and return back, crossing the bridge twice. The run is not for the timid. However, the Bridge Run also includes a fun walk after the race, followed by a family-friendly festival featuring community vendors, food and drink, entertainment and children's activities. Proceeds benefit the Health System’s cancer care programs. The fun begins with a Pre-Run Pasta Party and Runner’s Expo on Friday, February 13, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the foot of the Sidney Lanier Bridge. Pick up your bib number (with timing chip) and shirt at the party. On Saturday, race day events begin at 7:00 a.m. Cash awards presented by Pinova. Register at sghs.org or active.com.
