Tom Nielsen Coastal Landscapes Reception and Exhibit
to
Tom Nielsen Exhibit
The Left Bank Art Gallery will celebrate art of the G8 Summit held on Sea Island in 2004 for the 10th anniversary. The gallery hosted a G8 Sea Island Summit Art Celebration and Autograph Party in May 2004 and featured work by Tom Nielsen, the artist selected to create official paintings presented to each Head of State attending the Summit. For the anniversary celebration, the gallery will exhibit new paintings by Tom Nielsen as well as giclées of the original paintings given to the Heads of State. Nielsen’s marshscapes and beachscapes are collected nationally, and the artist is known for his soft, realistic brushwork and coloring.
An opening reception will be held Tuesday, June 12 at 4:30-7:00 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through July 10, during normal gallery hours Tuesday-Saturday 11am-5pm.
We will also be hosting an artist demonstration and talk for Nielsen on Friday, June 13th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm wherein the artist will lead an interesting, informative demonstration and talk about his technique, color palette, and his approach to his art form.
The Left Bank Art Gallery is thrilled to be celebrating Nielsen’s participation in and the art of the G8 summit by showcasing his iconic artwork.
