Bacchus is a one year old retriever mix. He is the perfect size at 29 pounds, easy to lift into a car or a crate. He was adopted from HSSCG as a young puppy but returned when the owner began working longer hours and didn’t have the adequate time to socialize or train Bacchus.
Since his return, he has been working with our volunteer dog trainer on basic commands and is doing fantastic. When people visit the shelter Bacchus can get very excited and bark and act silly. However, once you have him out of the kennel and he relaxes, he is a wonderful dog to walk and socialize with. He has attended many of our offsite adoption events and has done well with other dogs.
Bacchus loves to play and his training will need to continue. He would make a great dog for an active family as he has a lot of energy and love to give. Stop by to visit Bacchus and see for yourself. Check out the HSSCG's Facebook page for pictures of Bacchus on a recent field trip. Visit www.hsscg.org to view all of the adoptable animals and see who might be the perfect fit for your home.
