La Plancha Tacos and 'Ritas

You won’t find fancy at La Plancha Tacos & 'Ritas, the newest member of the Halyards Restaurant Group; this great little St. Simons Island taco joint with family-inspired Latin classics is just about fun and delicious food. Chefs Dave Snyder and Adam Jones have crafted a menu of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas inspired by authentic Mexican recipes created using the classic “iron griddle” method. Also featured are items like empanadas, ajiaco, yucca and aji, inspired by Chef Dave’s mother’s Colombian kitchen. Oher offerings include soups, salads, appetizers, desserts, and more. The bar serves up house-made margaritas, and a variety of tequilas, beer and wine. La Plancha is located at 3600 Frederica Road (next to 19^th Hole Package Store), and opens at 11:00 a.m. daily, serving until 9:00 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday, and until 10:00 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
