HSSCG October Pet of the Month Otis
Originally surrendered to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia in July, Otis has been residing at the Humane Society for three months. He is a beautiful 3 1/2 year-old Blue Merle Austrailian Cattle Dog mix. Otis is an outgoing and energetic dog, and was surrendered because his people did not have the time to provide Otis with what he needed. With characteristics typical to that of a cattle dog, Otis is incredibly intelligent. HSSCG's resident trainer, Roy Scarborough, has been working with Otis and has found that with enough time to exercise and being around people each day, Otis is a wonderful and well-behaved dog. He is housebroken, and was previously able to be left at home alone during the day without accidents. Otis does have a tendency to chase cats, so it might be best for him (and cats) if he went to a home without them. Once you get to know Otis and can give him the attention and exercise that he needs, he is a true joy to be around. He's incredibly loving, loves to play, and is so much fun to teach new tricks. If you'd like to know more about Otis please come visit him at the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia or visit www.hsscg.org for more information and to see more adoptable pets.
