July Pet of the Month - Sparky
July's Pet of the Month is Sparky, a spunky little 8 year old Schnauzer and Poodle mix (lovingly referred to as a Schnoodle!). Don't let his age deter you, he was named Sparky because he has a true spark inside, a happiness and joy for life that is contagious! There can be advantages to adopting an older dog: what you see with him is what you get. He's guaranteed to have much better manners than any puppy. He's pretty chill and can be relaxing to hang out with. He's very smart, and older dogs CAN learn new tricks! Sparky enjoys meeting new people, gets along well with other dogs and can even occasionally be found hanging out with the cats.
Through no fault of his own, Sparky has found himself at the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia, but is making the most of it. He's been on outings with volunteers, and has even visited the WWEZ radio station where he was quite the sensation. Sparky rides happily and easily in the car and when he's not playing with his buddies his favorite place to be is curled up in your lap. He came in quite matted, so he's had quite the haircut and might not look his normal dapper self. It's worth nothing that he might be a hypoallergenic pet (not guaranteed), because he is part poodle and his hair is much more similar to poodle fur than Schnauzer.
