The Vine Garden Market and Design Studio: What IS it? A floral and event design company? A landscape and design studio? A retail store? In a word . . . YES! The combined vision of Bryce Vann Brock, a woman with a passion for landscape, and Kelly Revels , a creative soul with a background in ballet, theatre and gardening, has evolved into a vibrant design studio at 269 Redfern Village on St. Simons Island that handles both event and landscape projects while maintaining a retail shop that creates and inspires elegant, organic art. Whether you attend one of the wildly popular workshop classes, come in to plant a container garden, or consult with these dynamic women about a project, you’ll find their positive energy to be contagious.
Bryce, a UGA grad with a degree in Landscape Architecture, was Landscape Director at Sea Island for 5 years. She assisted in the landscape plan for The Cloister, drew the landscape plan for the Beach Club and Spa, and has designed for many homes on Sea Island and St. Simons. Leaving behind a career in the corporate world, Georgia State Business Administration grad Kelly joined Bryce at Sea Island to help with interior containers and the flower shop. Their desire to pull the various aspects of the floral, event, and design business together under one roof led to the creation of The Vine. In 2012, their business plan came full circle when Kelly designed a Sea Island wedding in a yard Bryce had worked on previously.
This design project was special because The Vine designed the wedding and resolved a “problem spot” in the client’s yard at the same time so the clients could proudly host a post-wedding brunch at the home. Inspired by three beautiful picture windows that looked in on a living room full of clean lines, lots of neutrals and pops of color, Bryce carried that feel to the exterior. She created a series of Savannah grey brick pathways and seating areas with landscape pockets that she filled with splashes of color by way of bright orange containers. Bryce says it’s one of her favorite projects because the clients had full trust in her to execute her vision.
Kelly felt the same way about working with this client for the wedding. “She knew EXACTLY what she wanted and it centered around her personal design aesthetic which was very refined and extremely sleek and elegant.” With the help of Beachview Tent Rentals and Design, they had the opportunity to use modern lounge groupings, custom lighting, and special touches like nautical rope. She says, “As an event designer, this sort of client is a dream -- being able to truly design the entire look beyond florals and seeing it all come together. It was a blast!”
Kelly and Bryce are excited to announce that they are now providing services on Sea Island as The Vine for Sea Island. Visit The Vine today and get inspired to create something beautiful!
