The Literary Guild of St. Simons Island's "Coffee with the Author" series presents Carol Kent. A faith-based popular speaker around the world, Carol will talk about her journey becoming that speaker (and a best-selling author) which began when her only son was arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of his wife’s ex-husband in 1999. Jason is currently in a maximum security prison with no possibility of parole and Carol has used her family’s difficult situation to minister to others, especially inmates and their families. Her fascinating story of a mother’s love should appeal to just about everyone.
