Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. for the fun and festive afternoon of spectacular horse race and hat viewing, exciting live and silent auctions, great Southern fare and fellowship. The running of the 143rd Kentucky Derby will be simulcast on large screen televisions inside and outside at 6:15 p.m. so everyone can cheer on their favorite horse and rider in “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.”
Following the race, the silver tongued and always entertaining Mason Waters works the mike as the emcee for the raffle drawing and live auction of unique travel packages and adventures and other highly coveted prizes. At 7:15 p.m. the event will conclude with a post-race band party.
