Walk the Frederica Greenway

Join the St Simons Land Trust & Bike Walk Golden Isles on Saturday 4/20 for a free, fun & informative walk along the Frederica Greenway, visiting some of the Land Trust’s most visible & beloved properties, including the Land Trust Office grounds, Mildred Huie Property, Stollaway, Devonwood/Wildlife Preserve and John Gilbert Nature Trail. Along this enjoyable 1.5-mile journey from the Land Trust's office to the John Gilbert Nature Trail and back, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about six protected parcels of land, including their history and environmental significance. Volunteers will be stationed throughout the group to ensure no attendees are left behind during the walk from the Land Trust's office to John Gilbert Nature Trail. Please dress for the weather and bring snacks and water (no alcohol). No dogs permitted. 

Parking for this event is in the back parking lot of St. William Catholic Church (2300 Frederica Road). Volunteers will help guide attendees to parking locations and towards the Land Trust's office.

Check-in begins at 8am. Attendees must check-in before the event begins to drop-off or sign waivers. Walk will begin at 8:30am. Register HERE.

Any donations made during registration will be split equally between St. Simons Land Trust and Bike Walk Golden Isles to help fulfill their important missions. Donors will be included in two separate drawings to win two (2) FREE entry tickets to the 2024 Golden Isles Track Club 4th of July run/walk ($70 value/drawing).
