We have a special pet available for adoption to introduce this month. Summer is a beautiful and unusually marked female tortoiseshell cat who is about a year old. This very sweet and lovable girl is blind and needs someone who can be there for her. When Summer was a kitten, she had an infection that took her eyesight (you can tell by her dilated pupils). She has a clean bill of health now, and has had all of her vaccinations, and is spayed and microchipped. She needs an indoor home, preferably with someone who can be there with her most of the time--a perfect companion for a retiree who isn't on the go. Just because Summer is blind, it does NOT mean she is incapable. Once she learns her surroundings, she can find her food, litter box, window sills, etc. quite handily.
