When Matthew swung through town, he created some chaos. While the island weathered the storm well, there were events that needed to be cancelled and/or rescheduled because of the bad weather, lost preparation time, or post-storm clean-up/repairs. We're sharing as many as we can and their new dates with you now. Good news? That may mean that you can still get tickets to the events! The opening date for the Brunswick Actors Theatre production of Lend Me a Tenor was rescheduled for October 15 (tomorrow!) and future dates may be added to the show.
The opening date for the Island Players production of Hello, Dolly was rescheduled for October 20, and additional Saturday matinees at 2pm have been added for October 22 and October 29.
The Glynn Academy Players production of Calvin Berger - A Musical has been rescheduled to October 19-22 at 7:30pm in the Glynn Academy auditorium!! Tickets are $8/$10.

The Glynn Visual Arts Art of Food event scheduled for October 16 at Georgia Sea Grill has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a future date.
The Empty Bowl Fundraiser to benefit America's Second Harvest Food Bank that was scheduled for October 18 at Glynn Visual Arts has been rescheduled to November 1.
GIAHA's presentation of Katie Deal's show Wildflowers: The Women of Country Music scheduled for October 16 at The Ritz Theatre has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a future date that Katie is available.
The Terry Readdick Recital presented by the Coastal Symphony of Georgia at Wesley United Methodist Church Frederica that was scheduled for October 23 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a future date that Terry is available. Looking at March 2017.
The St. Simons Island Food & Spirits Festival only managed to get one of their events in before the storm came in. The festival was cancelled and plans are to hold the events at a future date. We will keep you informed when we hear about any rescheduled dates.
The Wings Over Golden Isles Airshow and .38 Special concert scheduled for Oct. 8-9 was cancelled and JLC AirShow Management is now assembling a 3-day WOGI show schedule for March 24-26 with a concert by .38 Special on Friday, March 24 confirmed. We will update as we get more information.
The Meet the Pros event during The RSM Classic has been moved from The Ballroom at Retreat to The Mizner Ballroom at The Cloister on Sea Island due to storm damage. The event time and date will stay the same.
The Under the Oaks Run on Jekyll Island to benefit St. Simons Christian School was cancelled and there are no plans to reschedule, but you can see their FB page for updated information about how they'll be providing a solution for registered runners.
