SoGlo Art Gallery - 1413 Newcastle Street
On display in July: The Coastal Photographers Guild's 17th annual exhibit, The Big Photo Show, is the region’s largest display of photography of award winning photographers and serious amateurs. Guild members will show their photographs in five categories: Nature, Landscapes, Black & White, Abstract & Impressionism, and Open. The photographs will be available for sale. Visitors will be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award as they view the photography and enter for free door prizes, if they choose. Exhibit will be on display July 2-August 1 (First Friday).

Anderson Studio Gallery - 100 Sylvan Drive, Suite 170
Anderson Studio Gallery, formerly known as the Artists Annex, located right around the corner from Anderson Fine Art Gallery, is now a remodeled gallery, featuring pop-up exhibits and is the location for the many workshops hosted by Anderson Fine Art Gallery. These workshops have been held for more than 15 years and are taught by professional artists from across the country who come to the island to instruct fellow painters. Students travel year-round to attend the studio and plein air workshops. Full workshop schedule can be found at workshopsonstsimonsisland.com and attached below. Artist Sherry Egger also offers private instruction by appointment in the studio.
ArtTrends Gallery - 3305 Frederica Road
On display July 1-August 23: "COASTAL CANVAS," featuring the work of two outstanding artists who have joined the ArtTrends roster: Paula Lentz, known for her inspiring abstract paintings, and Kathy Claxton, whose expressive oil works beautifully capture the essence of the coast. Glynn Visual Arts - 106 Island Drive
June 10-July 11 - BALANCE AND GROWTH - featuring Bold Acrylic Abstracts and Bronze Cold Cast Sculptures by contemporary artists Beth Sale and Brian Junghans. Sale, a painter from Athens, GA, uses symbols and geometry to create boldly colorful acrylic abstracts that represent human connections across time and distance. Junghans, from Norcross, GA, works in bronze cold cast sculpture to portray self-identity and a wide array of human emotion. These artists have not previously exhibited together.

Sale holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an undergraduate degree in arts from the University of Georgia. Sale has experience as a professor, was Director of Art Galleries at the University of North Georgia, and Curator at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens. Her works coming to GVA portray the usage of time and space, with “do-lists as bubbles of possibility for our lives.”
Junghans is originally from Madison, WI, and attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His sculptures began getting attention in Atlanta, GA in the mid 1990s after an article by Creative Loafi ng, a long-standing publication devoted to creatives and experiences in Atlanta. His expressive sculptures have shown in various galleries, art shows, and libraries in the Atlanta and the metro area.
Coming in July:
July 1 - July 31: “Emotions of Art," a GVA Artist Member Show. This special exhibition will showcase art that prompts viewer emotions, such as joy, love, sorrow, etc., through subject or color. It will be featured in the Ben and Ella Cart Classroom at Glynn Visual Arts. There is no opening reception for this show.
July 15 - August 22: “Drawing with Light," an exhibition featuring the photographs of the late Mary Ruth Moore will be on display in the Portman Gallery. Opening Reception Thursday, July 17, 5:30 to 7:00 pm

Golden Isles CVB Welcome Center - Live Oak Shop - 529 Beachview Drive

Hotel Simone - 1200 Ocean Boulevard
Suzy Dmetruk is the current Artist in Residency at Hotel Simone in partnership with Glynn Visual Arts (GVA). Suzy is abstract painter from St. Simons Island who brings the vibrant colors and textures of coastal Georgia to life in her work. With a background in Art Education and a love for global travels, Suzy's creativity knows no bounds. Come meet the artist and explore her stunning pieces at a reception at Hotel Simone on Thursday, April 10, from 5-7pm.
Her beautiful works will be on display at Hotel Simone through June 2025.
Julep Gallery - 269 Redfern Village and now upstairs at Dutchmans Casual Living
A colorfully curated new art gallery in Redfern Village on St. Simons Island. Everyone is welcome to visit. Open 11am-5pm Tuesday-Friday and 11am-3pm Saturday.

The Brunswick Art Loop, First Thursday Gallery Groove returns in July. The Brunswick Art Loop showcases downtown galleries and specialty shops featuring new exhibits, opportunities to meet the artists, light refreshments and more. A map will be made available to assist patrons on their journey, as each month there may different galleries and shops joining in. Don't miss the opening of The Big Photo Show, featuring judged submissions in a variety of categories by members of the Coastal Photographer's Guild at SoGlo Art Gallery. There is an opening reception for "Celestial Spoondrifts Art" by Summer Merier at the Brunswick Library. The Millie Wilcox Gallery at The Ritz Theatre WILL NOT BE OPEN for the July Art Loop.

Crafts in the Village returns to Postell Park on St. Simons Island. Shop up to 70 artists and crafters offering coastal art, decor, jewelry, pottery, furniture, photography, hanging chairs, specialty food, skincare, candles, soaps, glass art, bird houses, wearables & more. Vendors on site 10am-5pm Friday & Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.
